At Least Out of Office, Sue Kelly Can Do Something For a Constituent

Sue Kelly was useless as a Congresswoman...at least out of office, the blog used to defeat her can help get a SPECIAL CAT listed on Technorati.

This post in honor of our beloved and cherished Dinero Boo, faithful John Hall cat campaigner who brought in the feline vote.

Sue Kelly, Stay The Course IS WRONG, and So Are You

Sue Kelly, you DESPISE ME...forget your other sins, forget your refusing to come clean about what you knew about Mark Foley, and when you knew it.  Forget the fact that you have spent 12 years taking care of your rich friends and neighbors....let's talk about your blind support of George W. Bush's wrong and flawed "Stay The Course" policy in Iraq.

Don't try to label me, nor Democrats as CUT AND RUN, as it is a Red Herring.  We are calling for a CHANGE IN POLICY, calling you and George Bush to release James Baker's findings and recommendations IMMEDIATELY, rather than sitting on it until after the election in the name of saving a few Republican Seats in the House and Senate....you disgust me, and you disgust many of the voters in the 19th District here in New York.  If you had a SHREAD of decency left, you would resign now, and save us the trouble of voting you out of office....one more day with you as our representative is ONE DAY TOO MANY.

Stay The Course WAR VIDEO's...the first one is mine, but I am not alone in my sentiments.

Sue Kelly EMBRACES the Bush Strategy of Staying the Course

Sue Kelly has steadfastly stood by George W. Bush and his plan to stay the course in the Iraq War. At what price to our children, to our spouses, to our parents who are losing their lives in the desert sands of Iraq?

Sue Kelly-Demand The Release of James Baker's Commission Report on Iraq NOW!

Sue Kelly, I call on you to show us you still have some MORALS left.  You have already done the wrong thing where Mark Foley is concerned, are you going to do the wrong thing where are TROOPS are concerned?  Demand that James Baker's Report and Recommendations on Iraq be released immediately.

Our Fallen Heroes in Bush's Iraq Debacle

The War in Iraq is not going well, and the signs are everywhere that we need a change.  So far, in the 20 days of October we have lost 76 of our fine young fighting men and women, yet Bush has REFUSED to release James Baker report and recommendations until AFTER the election...why?

More importantly, what if after the election is over, after Bush has done everything he can to PROTECT Republican seats in both the House and Senate it turns out that he cannot and will not Stay The Course.  Should that report be released now, or should the White House be allowed to KILL OUR SOLDIERS in the name of saving Republican seats in the House and Senate?

People in the know, including George Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and Condi Rice know what those findings are, have already read the report, are already discussing with Generals at the Pentagon what changes are to be made in Iraq.  If it turns out after the election that MAJOR CHANGES are required in Iraq, whose hands should the blood of our fallen fighting men and women be on?  If it turns out that report has been kept under wraps to SAVE Republicans, should members of the Republican White House Administration be impeached?

I would CHALLENGE the Republican Party to do the RIGHT THING, and demand release of the Commission Report on Iraq immediately, for doing anything less makes ALL OF YOU and accomplice to the needless death of more American Troops.

Is Sue Kelly Suffering From Early Stage Alzheimer's?

There are certain symptoms of early onset of Alzheimer's that older people need to be aware of. The brain disease is characterized by memory loss, so people who start to forget things could be exhibiting a symptom of Alzheimer's.

I was on the page board in 1999 and 2000. There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that anything at all went on with the pages at that time. And as a matter of fact the evidence shows that Mr. Foley apparently began this in 2001 when I was no longer on the board.  I would have remembered something like this if I had been told about it.

Another sign is depression, when coupled with the memory problems.

Independent Poll Shows John Hall BEATING Sue Kelly!

The person may notice that all or one of their senses is impaired and they are unable to perform routine tasks they were able to do before

BEACON, NY - In a recent email sent to her supporters, Rep. Kelly focuses her attention and agitation on a known 527 political organization instead of using the opportunity to actually discuss the issues.

Kelly so far has refused to debate Democratic congressional nominee John Hall publicly. She has not offered any solutions to issues that matter most to her constituents—on the Iraq War, health care costs or energy needs for the future. She has refused to call on Speaker Dennis Hastert to step aside during an investigation of former Rep. Mark Foley or answer tough questions about her time as the chair of the Congressional Page Board.

The only active role Rep. Kelly has taken, in fact, is to run as far as she can from the Bush administration policies she's rubberstamped.

Page/Foley Gate, the incestual Relationships of Sue Kelly

Mark Foley was attempting to prey on America's Children, while people like Sue Kelly and Dennis Hastert Looked the other way.  Sue Kelly wanted to say this scandal occurred after her tenure as the leader of the Republican Pages....NOT TRUE.  Two of the three pages that came forward yesterday to ABC were targets of Foley's fetid attentions during her reign, yet she did nothing.  When Hastert found out about Foley's appetite for young boys, he also did NOTHING...so, the question becomes for America, why?  FOLLOW THE MONEY.........I give you this quick graphic example of only some of the matching fishing holes that Foley, Kelly and Hastert were feeding at.

Tired of Sue Kelly? Volunteer For John Hall Campaign

Voters all over the 19th Congressional District are tired of Sue Kelly and her lies, and I am one of them!  For instance, why are taxpayers picking up the LEASE on a Chevy Tahoe that Sue uses to flit around the district...we also pay for the gas, tolls, repairs and all other expenses for this gas guzzling behemoth.  She still has not responded to me personally regarding my inquiry to her staff concerning a trip she and her husband took to London compliments of the RIPON Society...for those interested, I am trying to figure out how it is that two people can rack up transportation costs for this trip of OVER $16,000!

I just found out that the John Hall campaign already has over 500 volunteers who are working at a grass roots level to get out the vote, and if you are wanting a change in Washington, DC would encourage you to plug in and get involved in this juggernaut.  Here is the letter forwarded to me, and I hope a few visitors from this site will jump on board.

Dear Volunteer Corps,

Great news! Last month, we set a goal of recruiting 500 volunteers by Oct. 2. Well, we reached that goal ... on Sept. 27. As of today, we have 573 volunteers who are actively working for John Hall! Blowing past our volunteer goals tells me we're running a strong, robust and winning campaign.

Let's keep the momentum up. Can you help us build to 1,000 volunteers by Nov. 7? Current volunteers like you are our best recruiters. Please take a few seconds right now to contact any friends, family or co-workers who might want to get involved. Forward them this email and tell them why you are volunteering. Then ask them to visit our Volunteer Page.

There are so many ways volunteers can be involved:

• On Wednesday, Oct. 4, we are celebrating the Grand Opening of our Westchester Campaign Office. The new office is at 666 Lexington Ave. in Mount Kisco (map). Please join us for a reception at 7:30 pm to meet your local allies and make new friends.

• Prior to the office opening, join us for a 4:00 to 7:00 door-to-door canvass of Mount Kisco. Together, we will help John win Westchester.

• This Friday night from 6:00 to 9:00, join the campaign for a volunteer Bar-B-Q at our Beacon headquarters (map). We'll also be going door-to-door in Beacon on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00.  We'll have lots of food, but if you want to bring something, it is pot luck too. Please RSVP to 845-831-1735 if you can be there.

• Saturday, Oct. 7 we'll hit the streets of Peekskill with a big voter registration drive and door-to-door canvass from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. Meet at the Peekskill Riverfront Green, right next to the train station, (map) at 9:00 am for coffee, donuts and training.

• And last but not least, on Sunday, Oct. 8 we'll be canvassing in Goshen from 1:00 to 5:00. Meet at the Goshen Plaza Diner on Route 207 in Goshen (map).

• And don't forget our phone banks! Like last week, we'll be calling voters every night from our phone banks in Newburgh, White Plains, Poughkeepsie and Beacon. And this week we're launching new phone banks in Croton, Garrison, and Mount Kisco.

Wherever you are, your time talking to voters will make the difference between now and Nov. 7. Please call me at 845-831-1735 to sign up for a volunteer opportunity this week.

Thank you all for such amazing energy and effort. It's inspiring to be supported by so many talented, dedicated volunteers. Let's have another great week!

PAGE GATE (I officially claim a trademark and copy right of Page Gate) , you are hearing it here first...this scandal is FAR BIGGER than the Republicans want us to know just five weeks before the election.  The entire Republican Party (including Sue Kelly) have tried to run from what is a tragic event of power corrupting absolutely. Let's start with this FACT!  If this was much about nothing, then why has the Page Alumni website be TAKEN DOWN, made inactive with this message up to explain it's absence?

Welcome!

Because of the current situation. I am shutting down the board until I can provide a proper statement about my part in what has been going on. I appreciate your patience.

Membership organization is comprised of men and women who served as pages in the Congressional Page Program during their high school years.

OH MY GAWD...we have a former page that was running a very ACTIVE web board for both former pages, and those who had been recently selected, and now it has been CLOSED DOWN!  If the Foley case was/is so isolated, why this comment, and why SHUT DOWN ALL ACCESS to the site?  Me smells a skunk!  Further, why were other pages (current and former, and some WAshington insiders) warning Pages to STAY AWAY from certain members of Congress?

Why didn't John Shimkus, or even Rodney Alexander take SERIOUS actions sooner.  Right now, we have a web of no less than FOUR Republicans in this horrid loop.  Dennis Hastert, Tom Reynold's, John Shimkus and Rodney Alexander.  (see links in articles below).  I find it impossible to believe that Sue Kelly could work as closely with Foley as she did on the Walsh Bill, be a part of the same class of Congress persons brought into power in 1994, and KNOW NOTHING, and her own SILENCE convicts her of complicity in this Page Gate, her silence and endorsement of predators in her midst.

Look at Foley's timing of over $100,000 in donations...FOLLOW THAT MONEY, and you will know the monsters who knew...any bets that Mehlman knew about this LONG BEFORE it leaked out into the public areana, any bets that everyone in the Republican Party wanting to keep it silent UNTIL AFTER NOVEMBER?

2006 email scandal

The 2006 Mark Foley scandal involved former Republican congressman Mark Foley who sent a 16 year old congressional page electronic messages. Page Chairman John Shimkus said "that in late 2005 he learned — through information passed along by Rodney Alexander's office — about an e-mail exchange in which Foley asked about the youngster's well-being after Hurricane Katrina, and requested a photograph."

After this revelation, other pages began to come forward with similar stories about Congressman Foley. Graphic conversations between Foley and several pages using AOL Instant Messenger were released by ABC News.

2006 House Page ScandalFurther information: 2006 Mark Foley scandal

According to the Associated Press, "Rodney Alexander, R-La., who sponsored the page from his district, told reporters that he learned of the e-mails from a reporter some months ago and passed on the information to Rep. Thomas Reynolds, R-N.Y., chairman of the House Republican campaign organization. Carl Forti, a spokesman for the GOP campaign organization, said Reynolds learned from Alexander that the parents did not want to pursue the matter.

Shimkus said "that in late 2005 he learned — through information passed along by Alexander's office — about an e-mail exchange in which Foley asked about the youngster's well-being after Hurricane Katrina, and requested a photograph." Foley was ordered to cease all contact with the former page and assured Shimkus he would do so.

Shimkus and then-Clerk Jeff Trandahl, who administered the program, met with Foley in 2005 after learning of Foley's e-mail exchanges. Rep. Dale Kildee (D-Mich.), who serves on the page board, was never told of the interview with Foley.

"I became aware of it this afternoon when [Shimkus] came by my office. I think we should have had a page meeting right away," Kildee said, referring to last year's discovery of Foley's e-mails. When asked if was upset about being excluded, Kildee said yes, adding, "I've been on the page board for 20 years."

"I'm the chairman of the page board," Shimkus said when asked why he didn't include Kildee. "The Clerk and I addressed this issue."

Should party loyalty and re-election to office take priority over doing the right thing where our children are concerned?

Here in the 19th Congressional District here in New York, my own Congress Woman, Sue Kelly has not publically made a comment on the horrid situation, nor condemned the coverup by fellow Republicans, two of which we believe to be Tom Reynolds (was it really and accident that Folley donated some $100,000 to his PACS?) and Hastert....Reynolds dumped the hot potato off to Hastert when he learned of it, and Hastert had a chat with Foley.

I just saw Bay Buchannan on CNN, and she normally will go to the mat in defending Republicans and her party.  I'm not fond of her, but today she earned my respect...she came right out and said point blant that those involved, those who knew about this were hiding a predator, and should have IMMEDIATELY contacted the proper authorities.  She herself called for a cleaning of the house, said that Congress and Federal Government cannot be a hiding place for sexual predators who are preying on our children.  Both Hastert and Reynolds should tenure their resignations IMMEDIATELY, as should anyone else who had knowledge of those communications and took no actions.

Further, where is MY CONCRESSWOMAN Sue Kelly coming out before the camera's to CONDEMN these actions?  She claimed credit for the Child Proection law signed by President Bush just two months ago, but now is NOWHERE IN SITE!  Why?  Where is her own moral outrage on this topic?  Where are the Republicans in MASS coming before the camera's as a group, and speaking out against this vile and fetid abuse of position?

If Sue Kelly is your Congress Woman, give her a call, demand to know why she is SILENT on this issue.  Has your Republican Congressman been SILENT on this, does your Republican have blood on his or her own hand?  Call them up, and DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY.

A Call For Volunteers With A Creative Bent

Greetings Readers:

I've taken a few days off after witnessing John Hall's DAZZING campaign to win the Democratic nod to take on, and DEFEAT Tom DeLay toy girl Sue Kelly.  However, with the fall election getting into full stride, it is time for me to get to work in playing my SMALL PART in seeing her getting a one way ticket back to Katonah...that is where you can come in.

I am looking for some creative souls who want to plug into the elections in their OWN WAYS, who want to put out their own messages.  My idea is to find several creative souls, computers geeks and video folks to put up our own commercials with our own ideas up on YouTube during this election cycle.

Think about it...a video camera, some computer software and someone that knows how to put it all together, and WALLA instant political statement ready for PRIME TIME on You Tube without spending a dime, and without being tied into the restrictions placed on you by becoming a PAC...just a few ctizens taking our sledge hammers and hitting Sue Kelly iin the knee caps.  I'll even toss in a bottle of wine while we all put it together!

I have a couple of ideas for commercials already, and sure others reading this have their own.  I have two video cameras, three digital cameras, and a computer....my skills of manipulating images, or editing video is NOT SO HOT.

If this sounds like something for you, PLEASE EMAIL ME ASAP...time is....well, maybe VOTES!

Sue Kelly's Party Shows Its TRUE COLORS-Host Shoot A Democrat Day

Life is stranger than fiction, and Sue Kelly's National Republican Party is showing America just what true Republican Values are.  Seems that the National Republican Party has been paying to HOST some rather controversial and racist events all across America.

In one set of events to RECRUIT new young college Republicans to the party, Republicans have hosted Capture and Illegal games where people would dress up as ILLEGALS, and students were encouraged to HUNT THEM DOWN.  I am all for border security, feel Amnesty is WRONG for all 20 million Illegal Aliens who are here, but this goes to far.  Republicans encouraging citizens to become vigilante's, presenting a game that suggests it is OK to hunt down and capture illegals...this is Sue Kelly's party, these actions reflect the party the values of the party she EMBRACES and CLIAMS as her own.

This is egregious enough, but it gets FAR WORSE.  As many of you recall, there was a great deal of stink about a movie debut wherein President Bush is assasinated.  Republicans were on the airwaves in DROVES as their pundits cried foul...meanwhile, their PAID OPERATIVES were out in the field again trying to recruit college students hosting another game...Shoot a Democrat!  Yes, you read this right.  The Republicans were encouraging students to use a BB GUN to take shots at such Notable Democrats as Hilliary Clinton.  So, Republican values include teaching college students it's OK to aim WEAPONS at elected officials?  Perhaps this gives us an insight into Sue Kelly's STRONG SUPPORT of the NRA, and her belief that all Republicans should have QUICK ACCESS to DEADLY WEAPONS.

Catch Immigrants, Shoot Democrats Events Anger Some

Dean Calls Events Discriminatory, Violent

POSTED: 10:13 am EDT September 13, 2006

Republicans on Tuesday distanced themselves from campaign activities that encourage college students to "Catch an Illegal Immigrant" and shoot cardboard cutouts of leading Democrats with a BB gun or paintball gun.

Democratic Chairman Howard Dean said in a letter to his Republican counterpart, Ken Mehlman, on Tuesday that such activities, reportedly put together by a GOP college organizer, "can only be described as divisive, potentially dangerous and discriminatory."

The Republican National Committee said it had no connection with Morgan Wilkins, the woman accused of organizing the offbeat campaign activities at the University of Michigan. RNC spokesman Brian Jones said "the woman has no affiliation with the Republican National Committee, and we certainly condemn this kind of behavior. It's offensive and there's no place for it." He said news reports she was hired by the RNC are incorrect.

Paul Gourley, chair of the College Republican National Committee, said Wilkins is an independent contractor hired to recruit students to the GOP, but he said the reported activities were not authorized. Wilkins declined to comment Tuesday night.

The events were reported by the University of Michigan newspaper, The Michigan Daily.

The "Catch an Illegal Immigrant" event reportedly allows participants to win prizes for catching others posing as illegal immigrants and a "Fun with Guns" event allows people to shoot cardboard cutouts of top Democrats such as Sens. Hillary Clinton and John Kerry with a BB gun or paintball gun, the newspaper reported.

Dean cited several news reports that college Republicans on other campuses were involved in events like "Catch an Illegal Immigrant.

"As chairman of America's two major political parties, we have a responsibility to elevate the political discourse in America," Dean wrote to Mehlman.

Mehlman, who has been trying to recruit more minorities into the GOP, wrote back: "I wholeheartedly agree with you that the activities you cite in your letter are reprehensible."

Mehlman said Dean's call for less divisive rhetoric was ironic, citing the Democratic chairman's earlier comments that Republicans are "a white Christian Party," and "I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for."

By HOLLY KLAFT

The State News

Events allegedly planned to recruit students to the Republican Party at the University of Michigan have both Republicans and Democrats across the nation stunned.

Morgan Wilkins, an independent contractor hired by the College Republican National Committee to recruit students to the party, was described as planning events such as "Catch an Illegal Immigrant Day" and "Fun with Guns Day," in an article written Tuesday by The Michigan Daily.

"Catch an Illegal Immigrant Day" would involve volunteers posing as illegal immigrants and hiding on campus while students try to find them for prizes. For the "Fun with Guns" activity, students would shoot cardboard cutouts of Democratic leaders with BB or paintball guns.

U-M College Republicans Chairman Rob Scott said Wilkins was probably misinterpreted.

"She was just speaking about different events that could occur," Scott said. "It was misrepresented in the article that we were planning the events on our campus."

He said the U-M chapter never planned on organizing the events and would never host them.

Members of the Michigan Democratic Party and the Democratic National Committee criticized the Republican Party, saying the events were "discriminatory" and "inexcusable."

"These events are hurtful, mean-spirited and dangerous," said Michigan Democratic Party Chairman Mark Brewer in a press release issued Wednesday. "I never would have dreamed that a state party-sponsored organization would be simulating the death of Democratic leaders."

Republican Party representatives agreed, saying they also find the events "appalling."

"We definitely want to engage students, but not in this way," said Sarah Anderson, a spokeswoman for the Michigan Republican Party. "Every citizen in Michigan and across the country needs to be treated with respect, and while the activities get points for originality, they get no points for respect."

Anderson said Wilkins is not associated with the Michigan Republican Party or the Republican National Committee, and her activities do not encompass the views of the party.

MSU College Republicans Chairman and history senior Jeff Wiggins said he supports Wilkins and was shocked the Republican Party didn't stick up for her.

He said The Michigan Daily probably misunderstood Wilkins, adding that events like the ones described would never be hosted by MSU College Republicans. Wiggins said he has never heard of similar events.

Wilkins visited MSU on Monday for the College Republicans' Sept. 11 event, Wiggins said.

MSU College Democrats President Karissa Chabot said it's a disgrace that anyone would use violence and racism to attract voters.

"It's something the College Democrats don't support, and it's a game we don't play," said Chabot, a political theory and constitutional democracy senior.

Paul Gourley, chairman of the College Republican National Committee, said it was not Wilkins' job to organize or plan activities. He also said the events she mentioned were only ideas discussed by some college students, and they would not be carried out.

Gourley and representatives from the Michigan and national Republican parties, said they could not provide contact information for Wilkins.

The committee has been in contact with Wilkins and will look into the events, Gourley said.

What Interests Does Sue Kelly Represent in Washington, DC?

Does not matter where you look when it comes to Sue Kelly, one has to wonder how it is that the FEC has not investigated her, amazing that she has not been brought up on various indictments in a fashion similiar to Congressmen DeLay, Cunningham and Ney.  She would have us believe she represents her constituents first and foremost above all others, yet I question that promise to the 19th District.

There has been much made of her cozy relationship with the Exxon Company, and everyone knows she owns STOCK in said company.  A casual glance at her financial disclosures show us she has also had financial interests in BP( Brittish  Petro), and Texico.  Suppose she feels those work well with her HUGE holdings in American Electric Power, which is ODD stock for a woman to own who claims to be a friend of the environment.  Take a look at AEP's Ohio Power Company, take a look at their COAL HOLDINGS, and some of their coal burning power plants and it becomes apparent this company is a HORRID company when it comes to a GREEN AMERICA.

Another group that Sue Kelly has and incestous relationship with is the drug and pharmacitical industry.  The unflagging support of this lobby makes a LOT more sense when you realize that Sue Kelly herself owns LARGE stakes in Wyeth and American Home Products.

Take 19 and other groups have uncovered her close ties to Allied Capital Corporation, the company's PAC tossing her $10,500 in donations recently.   That figure JUMPS SUBSTANTIALLY when you realize that KEY MEMBERS of said company have made private donations to her.

These are two examples I copied and pasted here from her FEC pages.  However, this support from Allied Capital Corp. takes on even more SINISTER possibilities when you realize that Sue Kelly added a serious chunk of Allied Capital Corp and American Financial Inc. stock to her portfolio in the year 2004.

In short, not only does Sue Kelly seem to have a vested interest in taking care of those companies and industry that take care of her, but she also seems to VOTE in a fashion the protects her own investments, which raises the question...can she be trusted to be sitting on so many committees that she has a CONFLICT OF INTEREST with compared to her fincial holdings, and her husbands extensive real estate business and holdings?

A coalition of over 100 groups that support the enforcement of America's existing immigration laws, including charges against employers that hire, aid, and abet illegal aliens, has launched a national boycott of Miller Brewing Company and their parent company SABMiller plc.

The boycott message is simple. Miller Brewing Company supports illegal immigration by giving money to groups that support amnesty, marches, and benefits for illegal aliens. Citizens are encouraged to "Dump the beer! Dump the stock!"

A website containing boycott instructions, a petition, and documentation has been launched at
www.MillerBoycott.com

Citizens supporting the boycott are encourage to avoid Miller Brewing Company products such as Miller Lite, ICE House, Miller Genuine Draft, and Milwaukee's Best. Citizens are also encouraged to divest in the company's stock and any mutual funds containing their stock. Fliers, stickers, and e-mail forwards are also provided.

"It is time for these large corporations that are using their financial influence to open America's borders to be punished!" said William Gheen of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC). "It is time for the immigration enforcement movement to show these unscrupulous corporations what we can do when we all work together."

The boycott is being arranged under the banner of the National Illegal Immigration Boycott Coalition which plans to organize over 100 groups behind the effort. Jason Mrochek of WeHireAliens.com and FIRE Coalition, and William Gheen of ALIPAC are heading up the effort.

"Miller Brewing Company is giving money to groups that support amnesty and citizenship for illegal aliens that have broken many of our laws." said Jason Mrochek of FIRE Coalition. "The last thing we need is more illegal aliens driving drunk and killing American citizens."

Congressman Steve King's office reports that thirteen Americans are being killed by uninsured drunk driving illegal aliens every day as a consequence of America's unenforced immigration laws. Miller Brewing Company plans to increase profits by marketing their beer to the Hispanic markets that are growing rapidly due to illegal immigration.

All members of the media and public that are concerned about corporate influences using their power to usurp the existing laws of America and the representation of the American public are encouraged to support the boycott and visit
www.MillerBoycott.com

www.WeHireAliens.com is the nation's largest online database of employers allegedly hiring illegal aliens where citizens can report employers that hire illegal aliens to Immigration and Customs Enforcement through the site. ALIPAC is a national political action committee dedicated to securing America's borders and enforcement of existing immigration laws found online at www.alipac.us

Why Sue Kelly NEEDS DEFEATED...two words...Donald Rumsfeld

Senator Boxer was just on CNN announcing that the Republicans had KILLED their attempts to sanction Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, and call for his resignation.  Further, keep in mind that Sue Kelly fully SUPPORTS the President and his "STAY THE COURSE" approach to the war in Iraq, and she would have us believe that the war in Iraq is THE WAR ON TERROR.  With this in mind, please read the below post I penned for another blog....Donald Rumsfeld needs to be fired, and Sue Kelly needs to be sent home.

Rumsfeld's Moral And Mental Confusion

Last week Rumsfeld made news all around the world with his ATTACKS on those who question the war in Iraq...in no uncertain terms, he labeled people such as myself as appeasers of Islamofascists. For those who have read my blog, that statement is so far from the truth it's hysterical.  I would challenge Rumsfeld's contention, and state that HE IS THE ONE WHO IS mentally and morally CONFUSED.  His and George Bush's WRONG WAR in Iraq is a dismal failure, and Rumsfeld should be fired.  For those who have short memories, allow me to make my case for the firing of the DUMB DONALD.

2002-Rumsfeld claims it will be a SHORT WAR with this statement:

"The Idea That It's Going to Be A Long, Long, Battle Is Belied by What Happened in 1990." 11/14/02

2002-Rumsfeld also claims that Iraqi's would sing and fly kites when liberated:

"Think of the faces in Afghanistan when the people were liberated, when they moved out in the streets and they started singing and flying kites and women went to school and people were able to function and other countries were able to start interacting with them. That's what would happen in Iraq." 9/13/02

So far, two predictions, both WAY OFF BASE, unless Rumsfeld wants to count citizens skirting around IED's as some kind of a dance of celebration?  Let's continue.

2003-Rumsfeld states that on the outside, the war could last six months, though he was FAR MORE OPTIMISTIC:

..."it is not knowable if force will be used, but if it is to be used, it is not knowable how long that conflict would last. It could last, you know, six days, six weeks. I doubt six months." 2/7/03

As of today, over 2600 fine young American men and women have died in Rumsfeld's SIX MONTH WAR, and the number of troops in theatre in the desert sands is UP, not DOWN. Further, 19,323 additional troops have been SEVERELY maimed and/or injured since the start of the war. [www.icasualties.org, accessed 8/30/06]

Further, let's not forget INVOLUNTARY CAll Ups, and Stop-Loss Orders which keep soldiers on active duty even after they have FULFILLED their contractual duties!

"The Marine Corps said Tuesday that it would begin calling Marines back to active-duty service on an involuntary basis to serve in Iraq and Afghanistan -- the latest sign that the American force is under strain... the Iraq war has forced the Army, and now the Marines, to rely on the ready reserve to fill holes in the combat force." The call-ups were approved by President Bush. [Los Angeles Times, 8/23/06; Reuters, 8/22/06]

"For much of the conflict, the Army also has had to use "stop-loss orders" -- which keep soldiers in their units even after their active-duty commitments are complete -- as well as involuntary call-ups of its reservists. Both actions have been criticized as a "back-door draft" and are unpopular with service members, many of whom say they have already done their part." [Los Angeles Times, 8/23/06]

Morally and mentally BANKRUPT!  Rumsfeld is a dismal failure, the information above enough to see him fired and sent packing.  However; let's continue exploring his litany of mistakes, mishaps and OUT RIGHT LIES.

George Bush, Dick Cheney, Condi Rice and Donald Rumsfeld would just as soon see ALL AMERICANS forget about the Weapons of Mass Destruction we were told existed in Saddam's MIGHTY ARSENAL...in hindsight, how could Rumsfeld be worried about WMD's while at the same time predicting a SHORT WAR?  The Dumb Donald not only told us Saddam had WMD's, but stated, "WE KNOW WHERE THEY ARE!"

2002: Rumsfeld Said Only Conclusion Possible Was That Iraq Was Accelerating WMD Programs. Rumsfeld told the House Armed Services Committee in 2002, "Knowing what we know about Iraq's history, no conclusion is possible except that they have and are accelerating their WMD programs." [House Armed Services Committee Hearing, 9/17/02]

2003: Rumsfeld Said "We Know Where" The WMD Are. In an interview with George Stephanopoulos, when asked why the military had not found Iraq's weapons of mass destruction yet, Rumsfeld said, "We know where [the WMD] are. They're in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat." [ABC, 3/30/03]

We now know that George Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld COOKED THE INTELLIGENCE, that they knew there were no WMD's.  It's bad enough that Donald Rumsfeld was WRONG, but I will go to my grave believing he KNEW he was wrong, and just did not care.

2001 CIA Report Said Iraq Was Not Reconstituting WMD Programs. According to an unclassified CIA report sent to Congress in February 2001, Iraq was not reconstituting its WMD programs. The report explicitly said, "We do not have any direct evidence that Iraq has used the period since Desert Fox to reconstitute its WMD programs..." [Defense Daily, 2/27/01]

Rumsfeld Says That "It Turns Out" There Were No Weapons Of Mass Destruction. Rumsfeld stated that "It turns out that we have not found weapons of mass destruction." [AP 10/4/04]

The current calls for Donald Rumsfeld's resignation are not the first, yet George Bush seems content to "Stand by his man" in some sick Washington DC remake of Broke Back Mountain, and it is OUR TROOPS who are paying the price of Rumsfeld's stupidity with their blood.  Any compassionate, sane person would send Rumsfeld packing, the above trail of failed strategies in the Iraq War enough to see Donald handed a pink slip, but sadly, there is even more.

Though George Bush and Donald Rumsfeld would have us believe we have enough troops on the ground, there were several GENERALS who tried to convince Rumsfeld that more troops would be needed.  Unfortunately for our troops, he was CONVINCED he could fight the war on the cheap, and we now know that America never had enough boots on the ground in Iraq to SECURE THE PEACE.

Bremer Said "We Never Had Enough Troops" In Iraq. Bremer: "We paid a big price for not stopping it because it established an atmosphere of lawlessness," he said in a speech at an insurance conference in West Virginia. "We never had enough troops on the ground." [Washington Post, 10/5/04]

Pengaton Official: Rumsfeld Not Interested In Any Requests For More Troops. "The Pentagon official said Abizaid, who is regarded as more independent than his predecessor, Gen. Tommy Franks, has been repeatedly discouraged from asking for more soldiers because President Bush has publicly pledged to bring 25,000 troops home from Iraq before the November elections. 'Rumsfeld has made it clear to the whole building that he wasn't interested in getting any requests for more troops,' the Pentagon official said." Rumsfeld repeatedly said he thought no increase in end-strength was needed. [Seattle Times, 4/13/04; Weekly Standard, 1/17/05]

Rumsfeld And Wolfowitz Scoffed At Chief Of Staff's Troop Level Estimate. Both Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz took exception with an estimate for postwar troop requirements from Gen. Eric K. Shinseki, the Army's chief of staff. Shinseki told the Senate Armed Services Committee that "something on the order of several hundred thousand soldiers" could be necessary. Rumsfeld, speaking to reporters yesterday at the Pentagon, said he believed Shinseki's estimate "will prove to be high," but declined to say by how much. Wolfowitz was far more blunt in testimony Thursday before the House Budget Committee when asked to comment on Shinseki's estimate. "Way off the mark," he said. [Washington Post, 3/1/03]

How many of our fine fighting men and women have needlessly DIED because of inadequate troop strength in Iraq?  How many HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS of our tax dollars have been wasted on this FAILED WAR PLAN?  Now, both Bush and Rumsfeld would have us believe we are making progress in Iraq, and that the country is not swirling down into a civil war...Rumsfeld has been quoted as late as August of this year denying a civil war is taking place in Iraq, though even today leaders of Iraq stated they have three maybe four months to keep the entire nation from imploding.

Rumsfeld Says There Is Violence, But No Civil War. When asked whether Iraq was fighting a civil war, Rumsfeld said, "There's no question there's a high level of sectarian violence...[which is] a shame...But it -- the people who look at it contend that they're not in it, and the government of Iraq says they're not in a civil war..." [Department of Defense News Briefing, 8/22/06]

Rumsfeld Agrees With Cheney That The Insurgency Is In Its Last Throes. When asked if he agreed with Cheney's assessment that the insurgency is in its "last throes" Rumsfeld replied that "last throes could be violent last throes just as well as placid or calm . . . look it up in the dictionary." While backing away from the implication of Cheney's comments that Iraq is getting safer, Rumsfeld continued to toe the party line by agreeing that the insurgency is in some form of "last throes." [Fox News Sunday, 6/26/05]

Despite Bush's ROSY REPORTS about winning the war on terror, despite Rumsfeld contention there is no civil war in Iraq, the EXPERTS disagree, which should be of no surprise.

Administration's Failure To Plan For Post-War Iraq Aided Insurgency. The Bush Administration's failure to plan adequately for the postwar period has been well documented. The Pentagon, for example, ignored extensive State Department studies of how to achieve stability after an invasion, administer a postwar government and rebuild the country. And Administration officials have acknowledged the mistake of dismantling the Iraqi army and canceling pensions to its veteran officers -- which many say hindered security, enhanced anti-U.S. feeling and aided what would later become a violent insurgency. [Washington Post, 6/12/05]

Generals Raised Fears Of Iraq Civil War. In testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee on August 3, 2006, Generals Abizaid and Pace both expressed fears that Iraq was headed towards a civil war. Responding to questions about escalations in violence in recent weeks, General John Abizaid admitted that "Iraq could move toward civil war." He described the sectarian violence as "probably as bad as I have seen it " Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff concurred with Abizaid's assessment that Iraq was in danger of civil war on its current path. Pace said at the hearing, "We do have the possibility of that devolving into civil war." While Pace indicated that he did not see this path developing one year ago, Abizaid admitted that the trend has been consistent, saying that it was obvious one year ago that sectarian violence was on the rise. [AP, 8/3/06]

Former Iraqi Interim Prime Minister Said Iraq Was In Civil War. Iyad Allawi former Interim Iraqi Prime Minister and leader of the Iraqi National List a secular nationalist party made up of Sunnis and Shiites said that Iraq was already in a civil war. Allawi said, "It is unfortunate that we are in civil war. We are losing each day as an average 50 to 60 people throughout the country, if not more. If this is not civil war, then God knows what civil war is." [BBC, 3/19/06]

Experts Say Iraq Has Been In A Civil War Since 2004. "'By the standard that political scientists use, there's been a civil war going on in Iraq since sovereignty was handed over to the interim government in 2004, said Stanford University's James Fearon...American military analyst Stephen Biddle says U.S. policy-makers make a mistake if they 'miss the nature of the conflict, which in Iraq is already a civil war between rival ethnic and sectarian groups.'" [AP, 3/15/06; Los Angeles Times, 2/25/06; Washington Times, 3/15/06]

Bush is appearing on an almost daily basis with a new speech on the WAR ON TERROR.  He would have you believe that WE ARE WINNING, but that we cannot give up the fight.  He wants to label Democrats as the CUT AND RUN party in the hopes that he and his Republican cronies can steal ONE LAST ELECTION.  Don't buy into the lies, realize that the WRONG WAR IN IRAQ is NOT THE WAR ON TERROR.   Neither Bush nor Rumsfeld expected the kind of resistence they have come up against in Iraq.  In fact, Rumsfeld was SO COCKY, he scarcely planned for the war.

Joint Chiefs Report: Planning Process Flawed And Rushed. In August 2003, the Joint Chiefs of Staff prepared a report assessing the post-war planning for Iraq. The report blamed "setbacks in Iraq on a flawed and rushed war-planning process." It also said "planners were not given enough time" to plan for reconstruction. [Washington Times, 9/3/03]

Generals Admit Bush Administration Never Had Concrete Plan for Post-War Iraq. Bush administration officials and military personnel admitted that there was never a real plan for post-war Iraq operations. Posed with the question of whether the Army had an outlined plan for peacekeeping in Iraq, V Corps Commander Lt. Gen. William Wallace said "Well, we're making this up here as we go along." A former-senior administration official said, "There was no real planning for postwar Iraq." Knight Ridder reported, "The disenchanted U.S. officials today think the failure of the Pentagon civilians to develop such detailed plans contributed to the chaos in post-Saddam Iraq. 'We could have done so much better,' lamented a former senior Pentagon official, who is still a Defense Department adviser." [Newsweek, 7/21/03; Knight Ridder, 7/12/03]

Administration's Failure To Plan Well Documented.

In short, America's FINEST were sent into the desert sands on what can only be described as a whim!  Sending troops into war should ALWAYS BE THE LAST RESORT, and when you send them into war, you had best have a carefully drawn out plan for the war, and it's AFTERMATH! Some of my friends paint me out as a radical liberal for calling for President Bush's impeachment...I on the other hand believe it's the only RIGHT THING TO DO if we truly honor the sacrifices of our fighting men and women.

Lastly, the proverbial final nail in Rumsfeld's coffin should be this...he sent our young men and women into war with inadequate equipment!

Soldiers Not Given Body Armor Needed. Over year after the beginning of the Iraq war soldiers being deployed to Iraq were still buying their own body armor. Responding to pressure from Senators, the Administration then sent soldiers to war with body armor they knew had failed ballistics tests, leading to a recall of more than 5000 armored vests in May 2005. [Periscope Daily Defense News, 5/11/05;AP, 3/26/04; FNS, Hearing of the Defense Subcommittee of the Senate Appropriations Committee, 5/12/04; Marine Corps Times, 5/9/05]

Army Study Suggests One-Fourth of Deaths in Iraq Could Have Been Prevented If Troops Were Properly-Equipped at Beginning of War. Newsweek reported that many U.S. deaths and wounds in Iraq simply did not need to occur. According to an unofficial study by a defense consultant, as of April 15, 2004, perhaps one in four of those killed in combat in Iraq might be alive if they had had stronger armor around them. Almost all those soldiers were killed while in unprotected vehicles. Thousands more who were unprotected have suffered grievous wounds, such as the loss of limbs. [Newsweek, 5/3/04]

Rumsfeld Dismissed Shortage Of Armored Humvees, Told Troops To Go To War With What You Have. One soldier asked Rumsfeld why their combat vehicles were not properly armed. "We're digging pieces of rusted scrap metal and compromised ballistic glass that's already been shot up, drop, busted, picking the best out of this scrap to put in our vehicles to take into combat," he said. "You go to the war with the Army you have," Rumsfeld responded. "Not the Army you might want or wish to have at a later date." The response struck many military families as callous. [UPI, 12/9/04; CNN, 12/9/04]

If you are reading this, if you are a true American Patriot, you need to write George Bush, and your elected officials in Washington, DC demanding the resignation of Donald Rumsfeld.

Sue Kelly Product Pitch Woman?

OK, as this blog's title suggests, I am one voter in the 19th Congressional District that is so very tired of Sue Kelly's Shit...in short, she needs to go (pun intended).  Now, when we the voters throw her out of office in November, she's going to need a NEW OCCUPATION (not like she hasn't  tried a few and failed already in life).  Why not Pitch Woman for Madison Avenue?

Is Sue Kelly A Yacht Fund Raising Lounge Lizzard?

I'd noticed in some of her Campaign Expenditures back in August that Sue Kelly spent a SERIOUS CHUNK of change hosting a fund raising event on the Hudson River, right in Pataki's BACK YARD here in Westchester County.  Is this K Street Lounge Lizzard also a Yacht Lizzard as well?  Is she caught up in the same net that Sweeney is being caught up in?  According to the Sue Kelly For Congress Blog, she very well could be!

September 5, 2006 at 7:31 am by Elizabeth Benjamin

U.S. Rep. John Sweeney, R-Clifton Park, made out-of-state headlines this weekend for being one of the top beneficiaries of the National Marine Manufacturers Association’s largesse and proposing legislation that would benefit the special interest group.

The NMMA’s lobbying efforts, which extended to the loan of a 38-foot luxury yacht to certain members of Congress - including Sweeney - for fundraising cruises on the Potomac, got considerable ink in Sunday’s Chicago Tribune.

According to the story, the cruises - a popular perk among Capitol Hill staffers and lawmakers - were suspended this year in the wake of the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal.

But that hasn’t stopped the NMMA from continuing to dole out considerable sums of campaign contributions in hopes of currying favor with those who have influence over federal boating industry regulations.

According to the Tribune, the NMMA used to have photos posted on its Web site of lawmakers and their staffers enjoying themselves on yacht cruises. But since the paper published, the site has been taken down for “routine maintenance.”

Lest We Forget...Sue Kelly Supports Bush's STAY THE COURSE In Iraq

Sue Kelly has consistantly backed George W. Bush's Stay the Course plan for Iraq.  The Pentagon's own report, released this past week, makes it abundantly clear, that STAY THE COURSE is not working, show's conclusively that attacks are up by 15 percent (on our troops) and 52 percent (on Iraqi citizens).  Just what does STAY THE COURSE REALLY MEAN?  I give you this to think of on this Labor Day as we reflect on Patriotism, as American flags adorn our homes.

Mom, I'm Home

Sue Kelly Can Dye Her Roots Blond, But She is Still A Right Wing Radical Republican

The National Media is now picking up on a story we here in New York have been hitting on for several months....REPUBLICANS trying to run away from their Republican roots, trying to run away from their Republican Party, and trying to run away from President Bush...Sue Kelly is on the top of this list of Republicans who are ashamed of their own Republican Record, embarassed at her Republican roots. She has REMOVED all signs of being a Republican from her OFFICIAL web site, and for a month now has been running a televsions commercial which portrays her as our independent voice in Congress...there's a laugh.  Talk about FALSE ADVERTISING!  I was going to file a formal complaint against her, but try to get a Congressman to sign off on it this close to an election.

GOP candidates stress independence from Bush

From Iraq to stem cells, Republicans in tight races break from their party

Updated: 2 hours, 57 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - Republicans who were once cozy with President Bush are distancing themselves from both the president and their party in campaign ads. (Sue Kelly voted with Bush and DeLay over 85 percent of the time...talk about COZY!)

Consider Rep. Deborah Pryce, the fourth-ranking House Republican struggling to hold onto her seat in an evenly split district in central Ohio, near Columbus. (Funny, Sue Kelly and Deborah Pryce seem to be close to each other, and to Robert Ney...hmmmm...can see why they want to distance themselves from the TRUTH of who they are!)

In 2004, her campaign Web site featured a banner of her and Bush sitting together, smiling. But in her latest television ad, Pryce is described as “independent.” The spot also highlights how she “stood up to her own party” and the president to support increased federal funds for embryonic stem-cell research. (Looks like Rep. Deborah Pryce and Sue Kelly have been given the exact same play book for this falls election.  Pretend you are Not Republicans...was that published by the Cheney or DeLay Press?)

As chairwoman of the House Republican Conference, Pryce rallies colleagues to the party message.(That message seems to be, "We are independent voices in Congress, we ARE NOT George Bush Republicans.)

With the election in about two months and Bush’s approval ratings still low — 33 percent in the most recent Associated Press-Ipsos poll — Republicans involved in tight races are avoiding party labels and playing down their ties to the president. On issues from the Iraq war to Amtrak spending, GOP candidates are trying to argue that they don’t follow in lockstep. (Sue Kelly, Robert Ney and Deborah Pryce have goose stepped with the DeLay/Bush/Cheney Gestapo in Washington, DC for far to long, and now they want to use their Campaign War Chests to run from the history....LETS HOLD THIER FEET TO THE FIRE FOLKS!)

Among some of the ads:

  • In Pennsylvania, Republican Rep. Jim Gerlach tells voters: “When I believe President Bush is right, I’m behind him. But when I think he’s wrong, I let him know that, too,” Gerlach is in a close contest with Democrat Lois Murphy, who nearly beat him in 2004.
  • Sue Kelly, 19th Congressional District in New York has been running a FALSE ad presenting herself as the independent voice of Congress for a month now.
  • In Minnesota, where an open Senate seat is at stake, Republican Rep. Mark Kennedy has an ad titled, “Crossing Party Lines,” in which he says: “I’m a Republican. On issues like taxes and spending, I vote like it. But on other issues, I cross party lines.” In 2002, in his run for the House, a Kennedy ad showed him walking and shaking hands with Bush at the White House. Today, he lists the issues on which he has split from the president.
  • In South Florida, heavily populated by retirees, Republican Rep. Clay Shaw criticizes the president’s stalled plans to change Social Security and says in his ad, “I represent the state of Florida, not a political party.”
